Hockey Director: Ryan Brindley

RYAN BRINDLEY

Founder and Director of Southeast Elite Hockey

Ryan was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. He has an extensive history in hockey.  Ryan has been coaching and developing young hockey players for over 20 years. He has been running hockey camps, skills clinics and tournaments in Florida for the past 20 years.  Ryan resides in Estero, FL, with his beautiful wife, Rochelle, and their four children. 
 
More About Ryan
  • Played two years in the USHL for the Thunder Bay Flyers (1993-95).
  • Received a full scholarship and played four years at Miami University in Ohio. Graduated in 1999 with a B.S. in Physical Education.
  • Played 9 years of professional hockey in the IHL, AHL and ECHL.
  • Former Captain of the Florida Everblades ECHL Team.
  • 2001 ECHL Champion.
  • 2000, 2002 & 2004 All-Star.
  • Coach of the 2004 AAA Southeast Elite & AllianceTeams over the years. This group has been one the strongest in the North America over the years. His 2004 Alliance Team was ranked #1 in the Country for 4 years in a row. He now Coaches the 2009 Florida Alliance and helps run the Alliance program. 
  • Coach Brindely Coached his Florida Alliance Teams to Tier I Nationals every year they were eligible.
  • Ryan's son Gavin was selected to play for Team USA in the 2020 Youth Olympic Games that was held in Switzerland this past January. Gavin's teamate Seamus Casey was also selected to the team. Gavin and Seamus both accepted scholarship offers to Michigan University and are headed into their softmore seasons. Gavin played for Team USA in the 2023 World Junior Championships in Hallifax where they won the Bronze Medal. Seamus was selected in the 2022 NHL Draft by the NJ Devils in the second round. Gavin was selected in the 2023 NHL Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second round.  They have been trained and Coached by Coach Brindley since they began playing hockey. 
  • Coach Brindley has Coached a number of players who are now playing College and Professional Hockey. Many more are on their way!

CRAIG MORTON

Assistant Hockey Director / Director of Girls Hockey

Originally from the Metro Detroit area, Craig grew up playing youth hockey in Michigan within the Detroit Little Caesars organization.  Following a successful junior hockey career, he played four (4) years of college hockey at Eastern Michigan University, where he was a CSCHL All-Star.

Craig is a USA Hockey Certified Level 4 coach; his background includes being a former Head Hockey Instructor for Maximum Development Hockey based out of Windsor, Ontario Canada, coaching numerous Southeast Elite AAA select teams and coaching within the Junior Everblades organization for over 15 years, winning multiple state championships.   Craig resides in Estero, Florida with his wife Amy, son Cayden (10), who plays for the Florida Alliance 10U AAA team and the Junior Everblades 10U AA team and his daughter Sophia (13), who currently plays for the Girls Florida Alliance 14U Tier 1 AAA team.
